North Point Plantation's main house is divided into four levels, including the English basement, where the gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, and half bath/laundry room, are located. The house has six well-appointed guest bedrooms on the third and fourth levels. Two bedroom suites, both with fireplaces, provide excellent accommodations for families and/or close friends. A great night's sleep amid North Point's peace and tranquility is a hallmark of any stay.

Check In: 4 p.m./Check out: 12 noon.

The King William Suite

The King William Suite features a four-poster, king-size mahogany bed, fireplace, adjoining sitting room, and full bathroom. Cool your champagne and midnight snacks in the refrigerator located inside the bedroom closet. The King William Suite faces North Point's formal main entrance, as well as the barn, forest, and surrounding farm fields.

The Valentine Suite

The Valentine Suite features a king-size antique brass bed, fireplace, and full bathroom. It is the most romantic guestroom in the house. On Valentine's Day, 1854, lovers etched their initials into one of the room's window panes, where their memento remains today. This room faces North Point's formal main entrance and the river. The Valentine's Suite has an attached guest room, the home's former nursery, with a double, antique brass bed.  The nursery has a glorious, direct view of the river.

The Valentine Suite-Adjacent Bedroom

River View

River View, with queen bed, has the best light of any of North Point's guest rooms. It also has a spectacular view, with two walls of windows facing the Mattaponi River. A full, newly renovated, marble bathroom (shower only) is directly adjacent to the bedroom.

Eagles Nest 1 & 2

Two additional guest bedrooms are located on the top level of the house. Both rooms are large and distinct for their coziness and intimacy, and simple, almost sanctuary feel. They share the marble bathroom located one level below.

Eagle's Nest I, high above the Mattaponi River, with king-size bed, harkens to the time when North Point served as a hospital during the Civil War. Note its wide pine flooring with traces of blood stains.

Eagle's Nest II features a queen-size bed and faces the woods, surrounding farm fields, and the red barn.

Check in at 4 p.m. Check out at noon.  Continental breakfast included in Bed & Breakfast stay only.
