Only 30 miles from Richmond, Va., the Mid-Atlantic’s leading film and TV production center, and just two hours southeast of Washington, D.C., lies the unforgettable oasis of North Point Plantation.
North Point’s riverfront landscape, sweeping vistas, and impressive, original, white brick Georgian plantation house make it the perfect location for film and photo shoots.
Photographers and videographers love our towering trees, more than century-old box woods, pastures, intimate areas and large green expanses down to the Mattaponi River, which makes a spectacular backdrop for film and photography. North Point’s classic red barn, back porch, which runs the length of the house and faces the River, and Georgian front circular drive are just a few of the many photogenic features of the landscape.
Then there is the main house. Its high ceilings, original pine floors, fireplaces, and elegant furnishings and rugs are accentuated by sunlight flowing in from the more than 60 windows that grace this c. 1740 plantation home.
We welcome a range of creative visions and styles; from half-day shoots to recurring film or TV productions.
Here are some recent shoots that took place at North Point Plantation.
